well, he had deceived them. Dwarfs were exellent blacksmithes and they made a lot of magic weapon for him. Loki failed - he did not pay him for their work (or it was some other kind of gratitude - I didn't remember), so at least they decided to mend his deceitful mouth. That is the story

I may not look like Jagger
May not have money in the bank
I got a pair of cheap sunglasses
And my castle may be made of sand
But hey I'm in the band!
Hmm, I think I put my comment in the wrong place... Try again!
WHY are they holding his arms, AND have him stapled to the wall - with metal - thinggies?? (Apart from that it's a great pic, I like the way he looks - um, real mad.) But I know there were no metal fetters in original story. Also the whys and wherefores are a bit complicated, so its no wonder you don't remember, butr basically - Loki lost a bet with 1 of 2 groups of dwarves who made weapons and gifts for the gods. He was already in trouble - it was the aftermath of the "Loki cuts off Sif's (Thor's wife) hair" saga, so that is why the gods made him go get things from the dwarves in the first place. As usual, Lokes gets over-enthusiastic...
You are right, thanx for comment) It's just improvisation, I tried to figure out how it could be and make the pic emotional, that's all But I agree with u, I myself prefer "right" illustration which based on the original text and show what is described.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

But the picture is great, I think that you have mixed two styles, and they suit well.
